The more I browse the more I see other Busse fans in this area. I know there has been a little chatter here and there about a possible meet and greet, But id love to be able to meet up with some like-minded people and play with some knives. Not that I have a problem hanging out with just my wife... she just doesnt give a hoot about knives LMAO

I live in the middle of the city in Philadelphia, no room to play with any knives, my yard is 10x15 feet and concrete, talk about horrible LMAO.... So we would need a place thats for sure...

Anyone else in the area interested in something like this?

I mean if there was enough people interested, we could possibly rent a group camping area so we could use knives and have plenty room outside and it could be an over-nighter for the ones who want to stay.. unless someone has a nice sized yard and doesnt mind me pitching a tent LMAO

I know there would be a lot to figure out... But the weather is cooling off and before it gets too cold I think it would be awesome to get together and share some knives... And possibly a few drinks...

Anyone interested? Anyone have ideas of places this could take place? If your interested when would be most convenient for you?

Maybe if we brainstorm together we can make this happen!

Sounds like a great idea. I would try and make that.

We here have been hopin' & prayin' for a Great Easton Travelling Trough Show III... Any chance on this?? :) We miss you guys! And if closer to Philly...There IS a Fogo de Chao there. Just sayin'...!!!! :D:D

I've been waiting and hoping for this thread to pop up :D I'm south central PA here so I'd be travelling as well but count me in!

Well someone needs to find a camp ground that will be knife friendly....

Well someone needs to find a camp ground that will be knife friendly....

Wharton state park, At Hawkins bridge, has group camping sites, up to 25 people and 10 cars... If we needed more room we could get 2 side by side or something... But 25 sounds reasonable and if theres more cars we could car-pool in.

I have used plenty of knives and hawks there, but I normally walk out in the bushes far away from everyone.

French creek as well.... but i like Wharton better....still I wouldnt care where it happened as long as its in this general tri-state area so i could make it LMAO

Damn it, I just moved out of Jersey! Although, given enough notice, I could see making a trip home...

I'm just saying :)

Congratulations on taking the lead in organizing the unofficial Bussekin Philly Phan Club!

We need more of these GTG around the country. They are a lot of fun, and let people connect in the real world. There are or have been GTGs in VA, SF Bay area, AZ, UT, WA, and OH. Apologies if I missed any. The community could use more folk to step up and organize a local GTG.

We try to have two events each year here in NE Ohio. One is a GTG out in the woods where people can actually use the knives chopping and splitting wood. It's a good opportunity for fans to try out blades before they buy. The other is a lunch GTG. I was able to find a local restaurant that will let us come in and have a Show and Tell session with knives on display before the place opens to the public for lunch. We were fortunate enough to have Garth and Amy join us once for lunch.

Hindsight has never come to our events. Maybe next time.

If we can come up with a set date as a group I can call and find out what it will take to reserve us a spot.

But If any of the guys in this area know of a better place, or a place you would prefer just let me know!
