I picked this beauty up from Anders at the ECCKS, and just got it back from Coop, whose photo I've included below.

9" blade to the guard, 14" overall, killer Hamon. MAsur Birch handle and sheath.

Anders is a fantastic craftsman and a very nice guy as well. I asked for a "persian/Eastern type blade with a top grind and a wooden handle and sheath" more or less and let him work his magic. He was super communicating back and forth as things went along.

Coop, of course, did his usual sterling job with the foto:D

Just a fantastic piece. I have just about never seen a piece of wood on one of his knives that wasn't in the   category. And here you have the matching scabbard, too. Most excellent. Congrats!

I agree with RogerP... fantastic figure in the wood handle/sheath. That is an impressive knife!

Anders is a super guy and that knife is over the top. I really like it and that wood is just too cool.

Coop, man you did it again.

This was a REAL honey of a knife. Anders has cornered the market on delicious woods for his work. Stunning!

Thanks Bill. I am glad for you!

Smokin.. The knife is over the top, I like everything about it. Wood this good is rarely seen, even on the finest handmade string insturments.. This wood, and it's finish, brings the description "flame" to a new level.. Stunning... Rich

Beautiful knife and sheath. Great Hamon.
Speaking of nice woods, I visited a Woodworkers Supply Store the other day. If you have one in your area it's worth a trip just to check out their exotic woods. It's like an exotic wood museum.

Anders is one of my favorite makers. I have purchased a couple from him. I was saddened when he moved back over seas. The one knife show I am able to get to is the las vegas show which he attened when he lived in cali. My nordic fighter has about the same blade, but the handle is fossil mammoth ivory. I just wish I would have got a sheath to go with it. As always, Anders work is beautiful, thanks for sharing.

Wow that is gorgeous, the whole package goes very nicely together and the choice of gaurd makes it really stand out with the wood.
