I'm not a fan of the factory clip on my gen 2 Deka, it seems to bend easily.
Does anyone know of an aftermarket clip? Or one for other models that will fit?
I have a couple MXG gear clips on other knives and would like something like that for the Delay.

My gen 2 clip snapped the other day. I put an mxg clip on it from my xm slippy and hated it. It didn’t have enough tension and wouldn’t sit flush. Maybe other mxg clips would work better though. Replaced it with a spare boker+ clip that works better.

I have a black deka long clip that I bought from knifeworks (it is a factory hogue clip for the deka. I don’t have my deka anymore as I exchanged it for something else. Id be willing to pass it along to you. I can probably get it in the mail to you Monday. PM me if your interested.

The Deka clip seems to need a bit of "Kid Glove handling".
I haven't bent mine yet...
Yet!

Here is a pic if you want it let me know and I’ll ship it out with some screws.

That is the one "weak" point for Hogue, their clips. They just replaced my Exploit one under warranty, and like the original, it has very weak tension. Over 3 years of occasional carry, mine had completely deformed and lost tension. Wish I could get a Ti or stronger steel one.

It looks like a Lynch or similar aftermarket clip will fit the Exploit and RSK, probably others too.

Welp, I can't remember the last time I snapped a pocket clip, but I made up for lost time today. The first clip on my Deka with Original Goat scales snapped off after getting caught on a swing at a playground with my daughter. The second clip snapped as I attempted to swap it from my extra Deka with polymer scales. 2 clips in less than 2 hours. Pitiful.

I ordered a replacement from Hogue but I'm not enthused about getting another brittle clip.

I also reached out to Original Goat to ask if they could make some scales compatible with MXG's titanium Spyderco clips, at least as a custom option. If Hogue won't offer decent clips, and nobody makes custom clips, then making scales compatible would be a convenient workaround. I doubt much will come of it, but it never hurts to ask.

Lynch NW dropped Deka Gen 2 clips today. Seems like they will be a regular item.

I ordered a stonewashed clip for my blue Blade Scales Magnacut and blacksmith for my Dark Earth 20CV.

Thank you for this info. I have a bronze anodized on the way now!

The Lynch NW clips arrived today. I got the right hand versions.

First photo is before. The Dark Earth knife had a Civivi clip. The blue knife had an OEM clip.

Last two photos are after new clips installed.

What a coincidence, my Lynch clip came in today as well. It's robust, strong and provides more clearance than the OEM clips from Hogue. This means the clip will now fully fit over pretty much any pocket I have. We'll worth the money.

When the clip became available, I was not sure I liked the angle. But after putting the knife in my pocket, I get it. And love it.

One of the problems I had with the OEM clip is that it caught on either the car door or the workbench getting in and out of the car in the garage. That’s why my OEM clips were breaking!

The cutaway angle and the strength of the new clip should help that a lot. Get caught less, take the abuse when it does.
