For those of you with a Hogue Deka, especially the wharncliffe version, how do you like the blade grind?

It looks thicker towards the back of the blade and thins out on the front half, similar to the Mora 2000 and Kansbal. Is this an accurate observation?

For those you that have or have handled both, which blade is slicier?

From pics, it seems the clip point blades primary grind is the same thickness across the length, wondering if the grind is thinner or thicker than that of the wharncliffe.

I like the aesthetics of the wharncliffe, but not sure I will like the compound grind in use compared to the clip point.

Also seriously considering the
Acta Non Verba Z200 and the
Manly City In 3D G-10 and S90V
Any thoughts thoughts on these models compared to the Deka?

Edit: No longer considering the ANV Z200, can’t find the frame lock version available stateside.

I recently picked up a wharncliffe deka and choose the blade shape due to the cosmetic appeal. Been a fairly decent user for me. I like the wharncliffe shape due to the similarity to a box cutter and similar cutting. This was a random purchase for me off ebay, it was cheap(paid $75) and something I wanted to try. I definitely think the knife is a good buy at $100-125. Blade steel seems to be good, sharpened up nice. Very well made product, the machining and fit & finish are right in line with spyderco/benchmade. Only real issue I have with the knife is I like aggressive jimping like spyderco and hogue is just not my preferred style.

Thanks for the feedback, with as immensely popular as the bugout is, I assumed more people here would have experience with the Hogue Deka.

Pretty sure I would have gotten more comments if I had asked about some overly thick, expensive, impractical, folding, tactical edc cleaver.

Hogue as a brand made a bunch of bad products starting in the 2000s. Really hurt the name... I have a few of their firearm accessories in a box that aren't even worth shipping costs... In fact I am pretty sure I got them for free from a family member who regretted spending the money.

I just kept seeing Hogue knives get compared to the bigger names and jumped on a deal. Damn nice product, and I am even more pleased after using it. Really like the handles, wish I didn't have so many knives or this would get more pocket time.

Ohh I haven't bought a benchmade in 18 months and hogue filled my axis lock neglect better than the original.
