Hogue EX-01 3.5" G-Mascus vs. Benchmade large Bone Collector G-10?

I have a Tanto EX-01 and love it. The button lock is great and locks up solid every time. I could do with out the safety thingy but it does not really get in your way. I have a few Houge knives and all of them have had I would say better Fit and Finish than benchmade. My EX-01 came out of the box with the sharpest factory edge I have ever seen. Mirror polished and scary sharp with a perfect grind. I have had a bunch of benchmade knives with ok grinds from the factory floor. Some do not like the spoon shape clip but for me it works well why mess with it. I'm planing on getting a EX-04 to add to my collection.

I love the look of the Hogue blades, but alas.....no thumb hole. :(

I have a Bone Collector and love it. It's thick, but carries well.

Both blades you are looking at will serve you well.

Don't know how helpful this will be, but I will post anyway. I have a large Bone Collector and think it is a great piece. I don't have the EX-01 you ask about but I do have an EX-02. If the 01 is built as well as the 02, and from I have read it is, then I would pick the Hogue over the BM. I love the 02, just got it on Thursday, and have the Hogue EX-04 on the list. These are some very well built knives.:)
