Anyone with a Hogue EX 01 how do you like your knife? Ive been thinking

about getting one but want to hear more about them first. Looking for a 4".

If you have one Id like an answer more than I like it......f/f ?, quality ? smooth

action ?, features on the knife ?, balde shape(grinds/grind on the blade--not

edge grind), how is the edge holding up ?, and anything else you can think of.

thanks!

They have sweet pocket clips on them :o

lol I know that doesnt help much but they have the same clips that was on the old speedtechs which looked great.

I have a 4" G-Mascus version, though its a bit bigger than I prefer so I have never used or carried it so it's up for sale in the marketplace. Thus, I can't comment on edge retention (or any actual use), though I imagine it would be fine given my experience with 154CM.

The fit and finish is great from what I can tell. It locks up extremely solid (don't even feel the blade flexing when testing for play) and the lock is fun and easy to operate. The knife is quite smooth as well.

If you haven't already, check out the videos Allen made about the knives.

I have both a 3.5" and a 4". I haven't used the 4" yet as I bought it for trimming my palm trees and other hard uses around the house(I've been lazy). I've used the 3.5" in the kitchen as a slicer as well as opening packages and blister packs. I've used it exclusively over my other EDCs since early June and the blade still shaves arm hair.

It seems to have a heavy duty build and I never expected it to be as good a slicer as it is. Fit and finish is first rate and the button/plunge lock is smooth acting and locks solidly.

I particularly like the safety slide as it prevents the button from being depressed while the blade is deployed. I wrote a recommendation of these knives in another post which includes pix and links. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8539220&postcount=26
