Hogue EX-02 and EX-04 seemingly discontinued?

I'm a big fan of Hogue knives, and recently I went to the hogueinc website and noticed they've quietly pulled down the EX-02 and EX-04 models. Anyone know if these are permanently going away? Haven't heard much on Hogue's end.

Dunno, but the 02 was pretty ugly in my opinion. Did you reach out to Hogue to see what they might have to say?

Thats part of the reason why I like it! haha. I've reached out twice via email a week or so ago, hopefully they'll get back to my Instagram message.

I can still buy 02 right now
but 04 is rather gone
if you like them so much - buy now !

Alright, it just so happens that they got back to my email that I sent on 5/9... yea both the EX-02 and EX-04 are discontinued. While I personally love both of these designs, design wise they are quite out there compared to the much more standard looking EX-01 and EX-03. Kinda makes sense that they weren't selling well.

Hahaha I hear you! Of the EX series I have the EX-01, EX-02, and recently picked up an EX-04. Like you said the EX-04 is getting harder to find, but the EX-02 is still offered by a high amount of retailers. I just need to get my hands on an EX-03 next...

Unfortunate to hear.. both are great knives, but I'm not surprised that either would be among Hogue's least popular models.. acquired tastes for sure. Probably making room in the lineup to ramp up production on the Magnacut Deka offerings..

Honestly, yeah hogueinc might as well be renamed into Elishewitzinc because it seems like 95% of their entire catalog is designed by him hahaha. I think the new ballista knife is in house creation, and with them discontinuing older elishiwitz designs they make room for new designs.
