I read a couple of threads on this blade here at BF and it seems like a great knife. I'm gonna order one, I just doubt between the aluminium scales and the G10.
Generally, I like aluminium better, since it is smoother and some G10 scales are a bit too grippy for me. I won't be using the knife in very cold conditions. How rough/grippy is the G10 on the Hogue? Also, some people remarked that the G10 scales are very light, making the knife a bit unbalanced. I guess the aluminium handles do offset that a bit?
Then again, the G10 (Gmascus) scales look great!
Also, I promised my g/f to buy only one tactical knife. And before I'd seen the Hogue, I was sure it'd be an Emerson CQC-15... Help!
(Any good arguments for the Emerson are welcome, though.)
