I am wanting to get a Hogue EX-01 with a g-mascus handle for general edc purposes. I have never handled one, but based on photos that I have seen, it looks like the edges of the handle may be a little on the sharper side. Just looking for some input from anyone who has used the knife.

I love mine but I have heard others say the same about the G-Mascus. I only do the 4" and I have a Tanto right now, had a drop point. And always the G-Mascus. I don't have any complaints but I don't hard use mine either.

I'm going to get an EX02 as soon as they are released too!

Mine's fine. What I do with sharp edges though is buff them with a ceramic, like a Spyderco rod. That usually takes the "wire edge" feel off them. I do this on steel blades, aluminum handles, anything.

I have an aluminum 4" tanto, and it's one of the most comfortable handles I've ever used. Ridiculously sharp edge that they put from the factory too.

I had a 4" drop point gmascus. Great knife. I traded it tho bc I couldn't get used to the button lock. Nothing wrong with the bl. It's a great lock with a safety.
