Can't decide. Anyone have experience with both that could input. 200 seems cool but I don't need to cut a car in half. Ex dimensions , weight, seems more liveable.
Thanks

I just picked up an 0200 in new condition for 70$ shipped. I am not sure what they should go for. But I am happy to atleast try it out. I have owned every other ZT I like besides the 0801. So why not. The EX04 looks very nice.

Thanks, guess it's the hogue. Now how do I pick a color !!!!!

The blue (below with Wharncliffe blade) is really cool and goes well with jeans. Slick and smooth.

If you want a unique one I suggest the Wilson Combat Star-Light Radius Tactical Folder with the 4" Drop Point. It's basically an EX-04 Upswept blade with the nice Wilson Starburst grip pattern on the G-Mascus handle. Unfortunately, it comes at premium pricing.

I have both. Right now. In my hands.

Basically, if you want a knife that could be a field, bushcraft, and self-defense knife all at once, I'd go with the 0200 with the caveat that it is freaking BIG. It is not a small knife. It does not carry small, it is not light, it will raise concerned eyebrows absolutely any time you ever use it. It is, however, very sturdy, big, and solid. It flips well, it locks up tight, and it inspires confidence.

If you want cutting performance, however, the EX-04 is the choice without any question at all. Hogue does 154CM like no other maker I've encountered. On top of that, Elishewitz designed the knife with that groove for good reason - it reduces material drag, making it a much more effective cutting tool. Also, he has a couple videos on his youtube channel showing the combat uses of the knife. Personally, I would go with the EX-04 without a doubt unless I was considering a camping/bushcraft situation. It's lighter, sleeker, and has a more utilitarian blade profile.

It's worth noting, however, that the EX-04 is tip-down only. If that's a dealbreaker for you, I'd go with the 0200.

So, essentially:
0200: Heavier, tougher, good flipper, scarier, outdoorsy, tip-up
EX-04: Lighter, tough, crazy smooth, utilitarian, combative, tip-down
