Now that they have them in stock, look into getting a Mini Ritter.
I had a Mini Ritter in the S30V way back when, liked that knife, but gave it to a relative.
My question is.......Is it a better knife? Do you like it more? How is it different than the BM model?
It is certainly pretty.

image.jpg Love the knife. I own a full size grip, always thought the mini would be to small for me but great in hand my large glove size hands, get 4 fingers on it. Smooth and a lot of fun. Glad I gave it a shot. Purple isn’t my thing either but it grows on ya.

I am a Benchmade fan and have both. The Hogue is better. It is among the best hard use folders period.

I have 3 Hogue Ritters., including one mini-R. I do like them better than the BM Ritter models. I like the use of G10 scales and the finished edge grinds on my 3 models were almost mirror polished and very sharp from the factory. Factory blade centering was nearly perfect on all 3 and the action from the factory was smooth and consistent.

The Hogue mini-R is slightly longer than the BM mini-G. The Hogue actually lets me get a 4-finger grip on the handle. That was always my complaint about the BM minis. They're also slightly heavier because of the Hogue's G10 over BM's Noryl. What I really like about the Hogues, however, is the way they've modified the omega springs for their ABLE lock. I saw one taken apart on Youtube. The Wolff springs in the Hogues are larger in overall circumference (not in material thickness). That makes for more spring area to take up the motion when the spring flexes, so it doesn't compress as much as the BM omega springs. Seems to my untrained and often illogical mind that this would make for a more reliable spring if it flexes less to achieve the same action as the BM springs.

I picked up a Hogue Ritter full size a few months ago on the Exchange. Outstanding fit and finish, fits my hand like it was custom made for me. I was so impressed I ordered the mini a couple days later. Hogue makes great knives, I'm sure I'll get another, probably a Deka.
