hi guys,
figure i should introduce myself. i have recently turned my attention more to traditionals and have been going through these threads ogling all the eye candy for a few weeks now. you guys really have some sweet slipjoints
my collection of traditionals is pretty limited. i have 8 SAKs, only one of which is alox (Soldier), 1 GEC #73 in Midnight Black Micarta, 1 Case XX 25 1/2 in delrin, 1 Colonial Barlow, and a couple of Rough Riders (Barlow, Stockman, Canoe). i think the Canoe is my favorite pattern and look forward to upgrading from RR to another maker. however, the itch for another GEC first is really tugging at me; those tough back springs and heavy half-stops are awesome! kind of overcomes my pattern preference.
because i've got to scratch that itch and funds are tight, i'll probably end up letting go of a few others in order to help fund the new GEC. maybe the collection will dwindle but a fine slipjoint in pocket should make up for it. maybe a new Serpentine Jack??
good to meet you all
