hi guys,

figure i should introduce myself. i have recently turned my attention more to traditionals and have been going through these threads ogling all the eye candy for a few weeks now. you guys really have some sweet slipjoints
my collection of traditionals is pretty limited. i have 8 SAKs, only one of which is alox (Soldier), 1 GEC #73 in Midnight Black Micarta, 1 Case XX 25 1/2 in delrin, 1 Colonial Barlow, and a couple of Rough Riders (Barlow, Stockman, Canoe). i think the Canoe is my favorite pattern and look forward to upgrading from RR to another maker. however, the itch for another GEC first is really tugging at me; those tough back springs and heavy half-stops are awesome! kind of overcomes my pattern preference.
because i've got to scratch that itch and funds are tight, i'll probably end up letting go of a few others in order to help fund the new GEC. maybe the collection will dwindle but a fine slipjoint in pocket should make up for it. maybe a new Serpentine Jack?? :D
good to meet you all

Glad to have you here. This is one of the best subforums on BF. I know what you mean about scratching that itch. Every time I check out the GEC serpentine jack thread I think about ordering one. Hanging around here too much is not good for the wallet.

Welcome jazub. This is the best place on BF's. Besides all the great knives, there are a lot of outstanding folks that hang out here.
I'm sure in time, your collection will really grow

hopefully i will have some pics this week of the new serp. jack. 2 are on the way. one is the new gec rotten banana bone.

Welcome and enjoy your stay!

thanks for the welcome, guys. that Serp Jack looks great and i was about to pull the trigger until i saw a thread stating that there's no half-stop, which is a deal breaker for me. however, nothing lost. just time to persevere with the hunt for the next in-pocket knife...
