Check this out, I´m sitting in an internet cafe drinking strong coffee and looking in on you folks from Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico. :D You just gotta love this planet.

We´re staying at a house on the ¨Riviera Maya¨, with a whole freakin cove all to ourselves, not another soul in sight. Been kayaking in the full moon, reading a book in a hammock with major margaritas nearby, all week. It just doesn´t get much better than this... But I do miss my shop and my dog.

But Hey! They´ll still be there when we get back, eh?

Guess I´ll go see what´s been happening while I had my head elsewhere...

Y´all have a great week, see you in a few days.

Nice to hear from you Dave. Enjoy the rest of your trip and stay safe. ;)

Oh, how deliciously-evil a good healthy gloating makes one feel eh, Dave?

:D :D :D

Good onya, brother! :D

Enjoy the time off and throw back a couple of fu-fu adult beverages for me. :D

Dave you sure know how to make a man envious :D
Sounds like a great vacation; enjoy and have a safe trip home.
Regards,
Greg

Thanks gents, we´re having a blast and it´s only about half over. I´m even getting a tan, which is pretty unusual given where I live and the season. :D

Guess I´ll sign off and go see what my wife´s gotten into - haven´t heard from her in a while... Take care dudes!

Dave! You rock. I know what I like to do when I'm down in the carribean. It'sin the water. Nothing to worry about coming home, blizzard on the way, extended below zero Alberta Clipper follows that up. You have to go golf and tell us about it. Even if you don't golf.

Sounds like you are having a great time. Good for you! Man I wish I was there also! (I hope you remembered to leave your faucets dripping at home! :D )

Enjoy your vacation, Dave! There's a national park down between Cancun and Tulum that has this very cool series of natural grottos. When we were there, a bunch of German tourists took a hankering for a swim and, not having suits, just jumped in "au natural". Might be worth a visit! ;)

I don't drink....think you could hit on some hottie on the beach and get slapped for me ? Something along the lines of "going halves on a bastard" :D

Well folks we got back about 10:30 last night and the snow all over the place was kind of a shock. Cooled my sunburn right off though! :D

So I'm getting all the pics off my camera and getting ready to go back to work. We had a great time, climbed all over a bunch of Mayan ruins and yes there were a number of "natural" folks along the beach. (We decided the house a couple down from us was a bunch of swingers from Italy.) Jeanie swears one of them was hanging around by us for my benefit but of course I didn't have the camera nearby. (Rest assured I had it for the rest of the day, but no revisit. :D )

The best part was just relaxing for 10 days with nothing to think about but my book and which was the most comfortable position in the hammock or chair.

One of the most striking things that I've brought home with me though is the sense that we in America have much to be thankful for. We really are rich and take an awful lot for granted. It was sobering and a powerful reminder to appreciate what we have. The living conditions of many Mexicans weren't as good as most of our pets have but the people were generally very happy and appeared healthy. Maybe we don't really need all the fancy stuff - life is worth living all on its own.

It's good to be back among my extended family and I look forward to trying to absorb everything you folks have been up to!

Welcome back, Dave! Ya rascal, we are glad you all had a good time while we were freezing back here! Sharks didn't get you while you was playing on the water, either. Did you find that nude redhead beach? Didja didja didja? We are glad y'all got home safely, and now you can admire your tan in the mirror while you grind away, big guy. Your shop called my shop 20 times, asking when you was gonna get home. We could hear your grinders and buffers crying in the background.

Thanks guys, it's good to hear all your "voices" again. :D Here's where I wrote this from originally:
