Hi,
The Blast has rubber grips that help grip when using the pliers, but when the tool is closed there are no rubber grips. That means that the other tools don't offer any extra gripping. Is the tool supposed to be used with the pliers open, but upside-down? I haven't tried this yet but this additionally allows the inner-opening tools to face outside to extend the cutting edge.
The grip is a tad too wide, but not bad at all. Is this a new method? Any ideas on why the Blast is designed so the grips are only usable for the pliers?
Here are some pics: http://www.moontrail.com/ltg-blast.php
(I don't have a pic holding it upside-down.)
One last point; the locks push down when holding the tool as one ordinarily would. Perhaps this doesn't actually affect that use; again I haven't played with it much, yet.
