Hole in my 'traditional' armory. Pocket clip, or otherwise secured options?

Normally I wear blue jeans, it is just the nature of my situation and style.

However, today I find myself wearing loose fitting corduroy pants with pockets that do not lend themselves toward the security of their contents.

So today, as I peered into my knife options I sadly found myself reaching for my old Spyderco Tenatious out of fear of losing one of my nice traditionals which makes me sad. I am trying very hard to stay in the traditional slip joint genre as far as my pocket carry.

What are my options as far as some sort of pocket clip, while still staying true to the traditional folder?

I know a few of the GECs have a lanyard hole, and I suppose putting a pocket clip on the other end might work... that or an attached pocket clip.

Anyone else managed to have any ideas or options for me?

Sorry pocket clips don't belong in the Traditional Forum. Moving this to General Knife Discussion.

Perhaps leverage the lanyard hole to tie a lanyard and attach something like a p7 suspension clip to it.

The closest thing I can think of is a benchmade bone collector lockback. I googled it, and actually found one of my own pictures that I posted on here months ago :D

The Case trapperlock series has a traditional look, but modern engineering. Nice knife.

Often suggested in the trad area is leaving your slipjoint in your pocket and then carrying a handkerchief in the same pocket. Slip case with or without pocket clip as suggested is another option. I think Case makes a Trapper Lock with a pocket clip/thumbstud and liner lock. Last option is to go for a gentleman's modern folder like Chris Reeve Mnandi or William Henry etc.

Put your knife on your wallet and warp a rubber band securely around it, it will stay there. I wear khakki pants and workout clothes all the time and I find having my wallet which is nothing more than my credit cards/id with money wrapped around it, and knife on top of it with a rubber band holding it together works quite well. The rubber has enough grip to keep it securely in place.

Beyond that I hear about people using folded handkerchiefs/bandana in their pocket on top of everything. As well as using am knife sleeve for their knife so the knife has more grip so it doesn't slide out. Some people also make a pocket sheath for knives to hold one or multiple knives, you quite often see a knife/flashlight combo.

Lastly is the good ol fashion belt sheath if you want to go that route.
