I have posted this up before, here are some better pics. I made it as an ice pick, but you could use it for making holes in things as well. :D
6 3/4" overall. Originally posted as limestone handle, but a mate of mine who is a geologist tells me its marble with fossils ( he's the man to know such things ) Comments welcome and thanks for looking.

Very nice!,,It would make a beautiful Saddler's Awl. I have three on my bench, not nearly so ornate, but the profile is practically identical.

Cool design and very well executed.
I wonder if this would be classified as a push dagger over here in Canada?
 
Patrice, I'm sure you could get away with calling it and awl.

Lovely piece. Like an ancient egg on some regalia. Were the proportions a little different I could see it as a very ornate hairpin to some lady of high standing.

Beautiful Marlingspike! I could use a fancy one like that for doing fancy knot work! Patrice, just call it a marlingspike, I'm sure those crazy law makers up there haven't banned those yet!
