Hey Blade forums community!

I've got an obnoxious one for us. Holiday season is coming up and I'm looking for input from the community about top 10 knives they thing all cutlery enthusiasts should own. This will inform gift items for me for myself and others I know, but probably a lot for other forum members in the community. To make it interesting, please try to throw out options that others may not have heard of or unique items. IF you don't have 10, any that you do have much appreciated. . Here's my own gift list for others in no order all:

1. Old hickory 7" butcher knife
2. Mora companion sandvick
3. Swiss army tinker
4. Kershaw camp 10.
5. Ganzo 704
6. Mercer genesis 8" chef knive no bolster
7. Spyderco manix 2 s30v and g10
8. Cold steel recon 1, any model
9. Kershaw diskin hunter
10. Mercer chinese cleaver

I tried to keep it random too. Any input much appreciated.
BD

Edit: Dang it I want this in general discussion not becker knife and tool, not sure how to move it there.

Our resident supermod can move you when he makes an appearance.

But as a fellow cutlery lover I'll weigh in :D

8. Old hickory 7" butcher knife - Great iconic piece.
7. Mora companion sandvick - No collection is complete without a Mora.
6. Swiss army tinker - Because everybody needs a good SAK
4. Kershaw camp 10. - If you need a good woods blade or car knife  I would swap it out for a BK9 if you had the funds available.
10. Ganzo 704 - never really liked the Benchmade kinda clone (just my opinion). If you want something affordable but interesting you should swap this selection out for a Svord peasant or Opinel. If you just swap it out for any knife, I would suggest anything from BK&T :D They have everything!
5. Mercer genesis 8" chef knive no bolster - right in the middle, because most of the cutting done at home (ymmv) is in the kitchen.
1. Spyderco manix 2 s30v and g10 - Because you can use it everyday as an EDC
2. Cold steel recon 1, any model - Same reason as #1
3. Kershaw diskin hunter - great size and eurgo's. If you could use it as an EDC it would do good, it also makes a good woods knife.
9. Mercer chinese cleaver - not too familiar with these.

This is just my personal opinion :) a new knife is always great no matter your choice.

My top 10 list of sharp objects that I believe every knife enthusiast needs --

1. BK11 - every one needs something to cut with AND open beer/ale bottles
2. BK9 - cause you can't not have one
3. Buck 110 - my first lock back and the first knife I bought for myself
4. 1219C2 - (Kabar 1219)
5. Tramontina Machete TT518 or TT1018 - What can I say? They're inexpensive and work well on grass and light brush
6. Kabar 1232 - my grandfather's preferred knife of choice - great for cutting every day stuff, big enough to clean a deer, small enough to clean a rabbit
7. Estwing E44A hatchet - my preferred camping hatchet - inexpensive, good cushiony/grippy handle when wet, poll good for stake beating. throws nicely as well. :D
8. Old Hickory 7" butcher knife - a classic that every kitchen needs
9. Stihl chainsaw Model 250 - knives, hatchets and axes are fine - but when a storm blows down a tree or big limbs, you don't need to waste time.
10. Echo PAS-280 Brush Cutter/Line Trimmer - when you gotta get the fence lines outbuilding areas cleaned NOW. Really works well on saplings, giant ragweed and Johnson grass.
