Anyone have any special plans or traditions for Christmas? Ours are kind of messed up from everyone`s conflicting schedules this year. Dave has the girls this year for the weekend, so we are going to Becky and Jonny`s house Friday night to give Hayley, Hanna, and Brianna their gifts. Angie works Friday, so we are going to their house in Indiana on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day Connie and I will be home alone.

We try to take in The Lights of Christmas at Warm Beach in Stanwood, WA https://www.thelightsofchristmas.com or something similar. We were able to take my brother and his wife this year. We took 'Famous Dave's' BBQ with us for dinner and it was fantastic too.

We're home now and other than trying to catch about four Christmas Eve services probably won't do much else.

Another tradition is the newest cat learning to use the ladder we get out to decorate the tree:

Goldie did the best of all our cats because she descended the side with the wide steps where others try to go down the support side and usually have to be rescued.

Ice fish maybe on Christmas day.....altho I would prefer to be fishing with Bugs57 in Pine Island Sound or in front of Blind Pass.

We've already done our annual trip to the KY Horse Park for the lights and our annual train ride w/ Santa. We made Santa's cookies tonight. We'll start here at whatever ridiculous time the first kid wakes up and gets everybody up. After opening their gifts, we'll move to Nana & Pap's house (in-laws) for breakfast. Fortunately Christmas dinner is at the aforementioned in-law's house, so we don't have to leave the farm at all this year.

Family going to in-laws, I'm going Motorcycle Camping in south GA at an international dark sky spot. Sun goes down and Milky way comes up (w or wo moon). Pretty incredible to see.

due to the ice storm & arctic blast last weekend, I got to avoid spending Saturday at the in-laws'. (SWMBO told me we weren't going - but I had to break the news to her family)
going to make a run up to Mn for a couple days to see Mom & her hubby -- of course, if the predicted storm arrives early or shifts just a little to the south, we'll be cutting that trip short.

Hope to go to the range with my wife. Got her a H&K VP9 for her birthday last March and we haven't shot it yet.

Since Connie was off today we just got back from going out to breakfast. It's the start of our four days of Christmas, tomorrow it's Becky's, Saturday it's Angie's, then Sunday it's home.

I survived driving up to N. Central Mn in a snowstorm Friday and left ahead of the ice storm that landed yesterday afternoon, so only had to drive through 200 miles of sleet on the way back home.
