Hollow ground practice

So trying out hollow grids now that I have finally upgraded to a Coote with 8” wheel. Figure I’d follow suggestions of starting on wood but also figure I didn’t want to completely waste my time so I’m starting on rosewood which I have a lot of and making these... first one not too bad!

Things like cheese knives can be really cool in wood. I was just thinking of making one tonight since my wife has some goat cheese on the table along with some greens and venison I cooked.

I saw somewhere here long ago, that you can practice hollow grinding on the paint mixing sticks from hardware stores. They are thin and brittle, I practice on several of them prior to metal grinding as I am not an every day maker.
