Are there any good quality hollow handle knife options out there with that classic Rambo look?
I said for a while I was going to get a Martin and by the time I got around to it his health took a turn for the worse and he stopped taking orders before passing. The only other two I’m aware of are the Marfione customs which are a little too pricey for me and too fancy for users and the Randalls which don’t have the look I’m after. This is more of a want than a practical purchase but I would like it to be usable.

I don’t know if they are still in production but CRK made some great hollow handle survival knives.

Check out the Boker Apparo. Martin design, around $175. Should cover your needs.

Sam Wilson! He's a member here and does beautiful work!!

Have a look at previous post!

I don't know if it's the style you're looking for, or if they're in your price range, but what about a Buck Knives Buckmaster 184.

I see several for sale on ebay.

When I think "Rambo knife", that's the style I think of- long, clip-point bowie-style blade with saw-teeth and a round, hollow handle.

I don’t have much to add about hollow handle knives, but during your research if you come across posts from someone named Gaston444, ignore everything he says. He was a member here (now banned) who was a self proclaimed expert on these knives. He doesn’t know his arse from his elbow.

Totally agree with this assessment!!

I have not see any of his post, I know hollow handles have their short comings and this knife is purely a want, a functional novelty, I will use it so not a total safe queen, I just wanted something that was a quality knife not a China made bud k special but didn’t want to drop 2k on a Jimmy Lile either. 700$ is a touch more than I had hoped but the Wilson fits the bill for what I’m looking for so I’m going to research them some then I’ll likely make an order

Boker is marketing a knife called the Apparo which they say uses Martin's construction. I have no experience with it, but it might be something to look at.

I have read quite a few good things about the Apparo and it is Martin design from my understanding as well, he had one just like it, I would prefer something made in the US though and I want that classic look.

I am in the process of ordering this one from Wilson custom knives now

Ahh those bring back memories. I ran around with my $10 hollow handled knife back in the 80s. Bandana around my head. Fishing line and matchsticks in the handle in case something bad happened. Thankfully, I made it home in time for dinner every day.

First one that I thought of that is still in production.

Cold Steel also makes one, the CS80PHB. Handle is on the short side and quality ... well, it's about $28. Knifeworks has them in stock.

The Buck and CRK are/were $$$$$ when you can find them.
