Which do you prefer and why?

Hollow Grind - Ease of sharpening (since I'm kinda new to the Edge Pro) and overall strength of an Edge that is hollow ground.

Flat ground: Usually much better for food prep, (which is what a lot of knives really get used for most), and not bad at cutting other materials, either.

Especially good at spreading peanut butter.

I really like the flat grind better. My Spyderco Military is one great slicer. Just my opinion.

Yeah, Dennis, if you use the search function you will find a whole bunch of stuff.

Flat, btw. It's stronger. But I also like hollow and convex. Each has its strengths and weaknesses.

I always preferred hollow grinds until I got a hold of a Spyderco Military and of course Darrel Ralph's XL Apogee. Seems to me that a flat ground blade is stronger than a hollow ground, more steel. As far as sharpening goes, I think it all depends on the type of steel that is used in the blade, not the grind. But for fine slicing, yeah, the hollow grind blade works better for me.
