Holster help

I think anyone would be guessing. If you decide to go for it, I hope you'll let the rest of us know. I'm sorta, kinda, maybe looking for a left handed OWB holster for a 3" SP101, too, but I don't want the thumb break. Hope it works for you.

I would like to make sure first.I am having a hard time finding a left hand holster for the 3 in barrel.

I've read lots of good reviews for the Silver Dollar Pancake on rugerforum.net. It seems to be a favorite for your revolver of choice.

I use a Mika's Holsters pocket holster for my SP101. He makes them for the particular specs of what you want, so I'm sure that left handed and 3" barrel wouldn't be a problem. I don't think he does an owb. Not real pretty but it seems to be very well made. They are very inexpensive for what you get.
I've heard good things about simplyrugged, as well.

The only problem with used holsters is you never know what the last guy parked in there. Even thumb break holsters rely on a proper fit to aid in retention. If the previous owner kept a Ruger SP101 in a holster you intend to put a Smith J frame into, you're going to have retention issues.

I have to say I am impressed with Simply Rugged. The site said 2 to 3 weeks wait.I ordered on 10/27 and got the shipping confirmation today.
