Hope this is the right forum for this so forgive me if I get it wrong. I bought a Sig Sauer P320 45 acp full size and I was wondering if anyone could give me and opinion on leather or kydex. It will be an owb holster as I am a tall chubby dude! :) thanks for your time and patience.

I alternate between OWB and IWB depending on weather/season and how clothing choice will affect concealment, including with a P239 compact and SP2022 full-size. I prefer leather for IWB for comfort reasons, but kydex for OWB when there's no direct skin contact. My Sig-branded holsters use "paddle" mounts, which are adequate, but a well-constructed kydex holster with belt loops is (in my opinion) better for concealment. I'm of fairly slender/average build, so I won't claim to have quite the same holster needs.

Being that a P320 is striker-fired, you won't run into some of the issues I've had with my Sigs, which is the hammer's tendency to dig into my skin if a holster doesn't provide coverage there. I currently have a Stealth Operator for my P239 that has worked well so far, and an R&R kydex for a Steyr M9 that is fantastic.

I'm bias but l'm a leather guy. I've carried for thirty eight years in leather in every weather imaginable and never been disappointed. It works.

Couple three at our recent cattle branding.

My own personal pancake style for a Glock 43.

I'm pretty fond of the pancake style for normal every day carry. Carries tight against ya, doesn't flop around on your belt and is pretty comfortable

I've carried my Glock 17 in a Horsehide Crossbreed Supertuck IWB for 5 years now. Occasionally in winter I OWB carry in a Raven Phantom but that hardly ever happens now.

I have CC'd for over 30 years and tried every manner of holster. I find the Crossbreed to be the most comfortable and user friendly holster I have ever used.

Leather is nice, i've used a few with the p320, most of the time though i carry it in a safari land 7ts as its secure comfortable and has about the best paddle i've used.

I have a comp tac paddle and a Garrett Industries paddle. The comp tac is an older model and carries my farm/work gun a Glock 20. I carry a CZ P01 in the Garrett. The Garrett Industries is leather lined and really nice. Pretty quick turn around too when I ordered mine

If I don't have to worry about dirt, sweat, or rain I prefer to carry my 1911's and wheel guns in leather paddle or belt slide

All but one of my guns are carried in Garrett Industries holsters. Iwb and owb are both great. Perfect fit and good amount of adjustability.

I have a lasermax light on my J frame, they don't make holsters for weapon mounted lights. If they did, it would be in a Garrett as well. Theven 638 is in a Just Holster It. Very nice as well. All kydex, no leather. Lightning fast turnaround. I think I got it within 3 or 4 days after ordering.
