Which would you rather own, price not being a factor.
Please answer the poll and give your reasons below.
Thank you

The Holt Spectre is my grail knife, it's a simple, elegant design. I like timeless designs like Chris Reeve Sebenza, Shirogorov, Grimsmo Rask, North Arm Skaha,...

Arius from those 2 but I'd choose neither. I had an Arius Gen 4 and I was underwhelmed (maybe because they're just overhyped so much) Holt's don't appeal to me at all.

I just love the way the flipperless Arius looks, and would like to get one someday. The Holt is really nice, but doesn't speak to me.

Agreed, compared to something like CRK the Koenig is $100-$200 overpriced. It could be their operating / manufacturing costs... nice knives but definitely over-hyped and more expensive than what they need to be.

As you say, "...price not being a factor", I chose the Holt Specter. I prefer the more neutral grip design over Koenig's large medial palm swell. I also prefer the more slender blade of the Holt to the wide blade of the Koenig.

What would you get instead?

Owned a Gen 1 Specter. Never really liked it. Too small for my hands and it felt fragile due to its low weight. Not sure why this is, since i own light knives, but it did. I’d go for the Arius.

It really comes down to asthetics, for me. The Arius is too tall, bulbous and the clips isn't great. I bought a specter and never owned an arius for those reasons.

The Arius is a great knife but I didn't like the large, "whale like" blade. Never owned a Holt but not really lusting after one. Prefer a Shiro 95 or F3NS to both of them.

Also, check out a KD Knives Arsen from Polish Maker Kamil Dlugosz. I own one, and It's a super sweet knife and should be considered in this category of knives. For those of you who want a sebenza flipper - this is the knife for you. Cheapest of the bunch too.

I got both, a specter v2.5 prestige and an Arius v4

Both are great and you can’t go worng with either. But the Arius is a big knife and slightly overpriced but the action edged over the Holt just a bit and has a fun fidgety factor. The Holt is nice and its more like a sebenza size wise. Quality, F&F and material is all there. The Specter is discontinued tho for the Haptic which will ramped up the price substantially.

Both are nice in their respective rights.

Just picked up an Arius, so that’s my answer. I wouldn’t rule out a Holt in the future, but at this point the Arius is my preference.

Neither knife really appeals to me much, but if one were offered to me for a steeply discounted price I'd go with the specter. Much more elegant and sleek, and seems like an overall more enjoyable knife. The Arius has almost no attractive qualities to me.

After having a gen-4 Arius (sold it), I can still say I like the knife overall.
That blade profile on the Koenig to me is very similar to the Rassenti Nirvana which I like a lot and may get one of these days.
The Specter does nothing for me.

After carrying the Spartan Harsey for about a week, I definitely prefer it over an XM-24, Full Track and AD-20.
