Guess I didn't know what to expect...
The 22" Chit is a beast... Kind of like a cross between a Sirupati and Ang Khola... Saw Khumar's initials and expected slim and elegant. Nice big tools - I can fit three fingers on the karda. I'll try to get a photo, but on first glance, it's thicker than my 20" AK...
Beautiful fullering. Decent engraving. Plain wooden chitlangi handle. Entire blade is well done except for a little sloppiness on the closed cho. Exactly what I wanted. Good looking, but not fancy. Something I can use without any hesitation.
Dukti came in today too. Made by Bura. I'm still getting a bit of a feel for it and need to wipe it down a bit. Handle is kind of blackened (I'll post a pick later. Design up and down the center of the blade. Thin handle (dragon carving). Feels great, looks off balance. (The design catches the light and pulls tricks on my eyes I think..)
The silver mounted AK by Sher came in. Even nicer blade on this one than the first. Chandan handle is beautiful, but has a slight split. It's only in the top layers of the carving, so it's nothing to worry about. The light has to be in exactly the right spot or I wouldn't have seen anything. It's getting a mineral bath right now. Tools are great. Tightest sheath I have (blade and tools).
