Hey guys how are yah

Now i finally understand what all you guys feel when you speak about CRK knives being the best. The prices ofcourse were quite high, but i have always wanted to hold a sebenza, and now i can see why you guys pay the kind of money you do for a knife like that. I just wish it was a lisa's pick or had some sort of background on it. one day a few years down the road when im not a student and actually have a decent income hopefully i can get a Sebenza.

take care

Save your money and buy that Seb my Northern friend. You won"t be sorry. I started out reluctently last November when I bought a small regular with a swedge from a friend of mine. Since then I have sold all my Benchmades, Al Mars, and Microtechs. Now I own a Night Sky Seb, Micarta Regular Seb with half serrations, 7 inch Green Beret and Shadow III. Oh yeh, I still have that used regular that started this sickness. I did however keep my Benchmade 210 Snody fixed blade. They outdid themselves with that one. Good luck in your first Seb purchase.

I miss my BM 210 TK, but I traded it for a SE Mili, and its one of my most used blades. :D

Yes Sebbies are the junk, every good knife knut owes them selfs one......................or two.................or...:D

Save your change, really I bet in one year you will be able to get one. I through my change in a bank for my kids, in about a year I had around 400 bucks in there for them. All them coins add up to some real cash. ;)

I know you guys are right and i really should not have held one, because now i think i have been spoiled:D. The $500 price tag made me feel a bit uneasy holding it as well, because i'm like the owner is gonna pounce on me like a jungle cat if i drop it. Oh well hopefully one day i can get a decent deal on the forums.

in the meantime i have a few more like 20-25 that are the cream of the crop in their respective class that i would like to have.

I think you guys are both right, but sebs are a long way off now. I just found out $6000-10000 is probably gonna be my bill for braces. Braces at my age im gonna be a laughing stock oh well. When you have to you have to.

I think the only way now i can get a sebenza is on a payment plan.

take care and my god the knives i could have bought if only i had perfect teeth.

How old are you? If you are over the age of 18, I would hope the adults you interact with are mature enough to not laugh at someone with braces. If you are under age 18, you are in the age bracket when most people get braces. You shouldn't have anything to worry about as far as people laughing at you.

The thing i'm 21, but since i'm applying to be a Police officer in about 5-6 months i really am apprehensive regarding braces. The recruiters love to use the line "You need more life experience when dealing with people of my age even though i may be fully qualified" I can just hear it now, you want to be a cop come back when your braces come off little boy.

Other than that the price is quite tough as well. I'm a student therefore i will be poor for a good while.

Why couldn't i find out about Sebenzas in my later years

well the way I see it. I think you should get your braces, get it over with asap. so you wont have to date n stuff later with them (they make you retarded haha).

Or the best advice I'd give, will be to get both.

I would order off of www.truenorthknives.com. Their inventory is already here in Canada, which means no border hassles, and they sell their Sebs for the same price as the Chris Reeve website. Might be cheaper, and safer, and easier, than buying off the forums.
FYI, I'm a student too. The first Seb I bought - which actually wasn't for me - required some balletic footwork when I put my budget together, but it's feasible. Just start putting money away; a bit here and there will eventually add up. It helps if you've got a high-paying job (if you're in Alberta, maybe try working the rigs if you're up for it) but really it's just a matter of priorities - how badly do you want the thing?
The Seb I have now - a gift - is an omnipresent quality of my character. It's like my tongue; It's always with me, I use it at every opportunity and I'm resentful of people who take offense when I do. It's great to have, especially if you're working an industrial-type job. As an added bonus, every person who's seen me use it, knife knut or not, has wanted to hold it. That's saying alot for Canada. Frankly, I'd say it's very much worth the effort :)

So getting braces actually causes mental retardation. I bet you printed your university degree :D

I see exactly where your going and I do agree in some sense. It's just priorities are school fees and now $10000 on top of that. Rest assured the day I have a set career i am going to be getting one for sure.

Hey, some girls like ragged teeth, shows character. My teeth aren't perfect, I have all of em and wife don't complain. I also have my Sebs. This is really all in jest, I hope you know. Decisions, decisions!

I am in my 3rd year of high school.

Well, just imho, if i were 20x, and dating with braces, i would feel... out of place?

so just get it over with asap. When I had braces back in grade 6, they were really uncomfortable and I couldnt eat much food with bones...:(

get both! Im saving up for a sebenza too! :D

only $320 to go :)

If that is you in the Avatar i wouldn't say a word to you as well:D. You just look like a man that enjoys hunting. Maybe if i carry a sebenza around people wont really notice my teeth much.

I wish you luck plus you can save for a Sebenza a helluva lot faster than me. Let us know what you get eh can't wait to see it. Or hold out a bit longer for maybe a lisa's pick or damascus one. Your in Canada right

aj

unfortunately im in canada. And I do not know of any store in Vancouver that has a Sebenza...which sucks...a lot.

I actually have enough for a sebenza, but my dad checked my bank account and he thinks i have spent too much money on knives for a 15 year old...so im saving up on my own...
