so, seeing as how Santa is now fired for not bringing me a knife this year, I took things into my own hands (and bank account! Ouch!)

This is my first really top-end knife, besides my ZDP Delica, which is more of a regular knife with an interesting steel. I got a full-sized Bradley Cutlery Alias. It's a titanium framelock with CPM S30V steel, produced by Benchmade for Bradley. I've been drooling over this knife for a while, and finally took the plunge on one. It should hold me off getting a darn Sebenza for a while - at about half the price! These retail for $225 or so (I think) but I paid $170 at my local B'n'M on sale.

This knife is AMAZING. Oh my gosh. So in love.

so happy! Can't wait to use the crap out of this one!

congrats on the Bradley. I love the alias, got to play around with it at my local shop not too long ago. I'm really not a big frame-lock fan, but that's probably just because I had a bad expierience with a CRKT framelock a while back.

I understand your love for it though, I remember when I opened my christmas present last year to see a Bradley Mayhem.....love it.

I think there is a considerable quality difference between this and a cheapie CRKT, perhaps. This knife is smooth as butter, locks up rock solid, and has no blade play in any direction.

How do you like the Mayhem?

I am not so much into Benchmades, but it seems very sturdy and a great knife at the money. It even looks like a Sebenza.

Congrats on a sweet knife & a great deal!! :):thumbup:

nice score. this blade looks similar to the old BM 750S Pinnacle that BM used to make.

I've had my eye on one of those for a while now. I have a terrible weakness for Ti handles. Enjoy it.

this knife sorta seems like an evolution of the Pinnacle, to me.

It was between this and a Skirmish, and I just liked the way this one felt in the hand a lot better. The Skirmish is... well... perhaps a bit much.

I originally was going to get the Alias II, the 3" bladed model, but the ball detent on it was so strong it was painful to release it, and after handling it a bit more i realized the Alias I felt better in the hand. Plus, it's only a 3.6" blade- not THAT big, but it's a very good size. It feels like a substantial knife, but it's actually pretty light I think - considering it's size and strength, 4.1 ounces doesn't seem all that bad to me.

Great knife - I know what you mean about a weakness for titanium. :) This will fuel the fire for more. A great knife at a great price. What could be better than that.:)

I am always happy to see folks get knives that they want; especially their Grail Knives. CONGRATS!!!

I love my Mayhem. not so much as a flipper due to the size and shaped of the small curved handles. That said, it is extremely smooth and an amazing EDC bali-song (depending on where you live I guess). Since I can carry it non-concealed, I use it almost everyday. The pocket clip is great too. Just overall a very strong well built knife. The construction of the handles with that sandwich style and the hidden pins just make this knife a win for me. Great Knife, but it will never replace my BM43 for flipping purposes.

That is one sexy knife NB...but I opened this thread looking for a Kershaw and was disappointed. Blah.

Congrats.

I've found the Bradley knives to be good designs for users, whether framelocks, bali, or auto. Good materials, good craftsmanship, and good design = great users.

I like my Mayhem and Alias models.

Ive yet to find a Grail Kershaw... Though the ZT0200 is on the list.

The problem is that kershaws are so reasonably priced! And I'm not too fond of my mini cyclone overall, so I can't justify dumping 3x the price on a Ti/zdp MC so easily.
