SO...i'm happy with my current EDC (small sebenza classic with bloodwood inlay, Warren Thomas stainless raindrop damascus blade, and blue thumb stud)...BUT! Scott Cook....Lochsa folder...I may have a better chance of changing my name to "Don Johnson" and doing porn before ever owning one......he's not accepting any orders currently...and i guess the waite is a few years when he does...and if and when they show bup on ebay, their like twice the origional price...is this the holy grail of pocket knives or what....its sad really because I should be happy with what I have.....but like most here ive become a "knife nut" does anyone know of a good 12 step program i could get involved in...

I think there's still one up for sale on the exchange... ~$1,200... the post is burried about a week or two in.

I'm hot for one too. It actually appeared in my dream the other night.

Well personally I would rather have a $1200. knife than a Rolex. If that is what you like then why not deserve it. You only live once .

Guess i am not helping any. My bad.

Going to this knife site and asking for a 12 step program is like going to a bar and , ..ahh well..you know..

I'm not sure what I'd do if I ever got to Knife Nirvana.

Impossible. It's not in our nature. You'd just find something else to throw your lust at. Besides, as I'm sure it's been pointed out many times before in similar threads, "getting there is half the fun."

Although, it's intriguing to imagine what lies beyond the Lochsa at the end of the rainbow...

Rolex....happy with my seiko alarm chrono's (plural mind you)...but an omega would be nice...perhaps one day Scott will be accepting orders again...I waited 1 1/2 yrs for my Devon Thomas damascus blade for my small sebbie, even got to chat with MRs .Reeve on the phone ...I would be willing to wait 2-3 yrs for a lochsa, damascus would be "bliss" ...but you know as
"KarlMaldensNose" stated in so many words...then what ?

Why can't we have a 1200.00 knife and a rolex!
I really want a Jess Horn now.

i agree lol.

my grail knife was a emerson custom CQC6 but i got one a few yrs ago, then i wanted a waved bolstered emerson and got a CQC13, i'm pretty happy with my stuff and not itching for anything new right now, but hey that could change quick lol.

i suppose i woulnt mind having a really nice damascus folder, something like a ralph maxx or a mayo TnT to name 2.

a ron lake folder would be cool too.

I would like a knife that does everything it should at a price point where it would never sit in a safe, locked away from the very world it was designed to master. Sadly, most holy grail knives do just that...

ya i hear ya on that... I carry my sebbie all the time as i would a lochsa, i carry a spyderco captain at work, but i have a Microtech ultratech that "lives" in my knife, watch and cufflink vallet..Living in N.Y state i really cant leave the house with it.

while my CQC6 is a safe queen i edc my CQC13, its my current favorite.

Tighe Breaker is one of my dream knives. I have always loved those sculpted lines in that knife!!

My Grail knife is a REAL, Becker Necker with a thing on the Handle that can open all sorts of Bottles. :D

Strangely enough, I'm currently not seeking a Holy Grail of a knife. It's not that I've found Excalibur, although I have some contenders, but rather I've filled all my current overwhelming needs in the knife world. I have one of these, one of those, one that does this, one that does that, etc. There are quite a few out there that I'd love to have, but nothing is calling to me in my dreams.

In truth, my Holy Grail has been more like a round table of excellent pieces that I have surrounding me, and each one contributes to the whole of my serenity and completeness.

Daniel
