Thanks for posting pics of the knives you sent TMG & I. We were wondering what it was called. Imagine our surprise when we found two of them at the bottom of the knife box. Thanks!! :cool:

Seriously though, is that a Ti-nitride coating or something else? What's the blade length? Is it flat, convex or hollow ground? What's the reason behind the blade being oriented downward in relation to the handle?

Wow! I saw that knife color in 1972 but the roast beef and my girlfriend were the same color. I think we saw it on Purplemicro.dot.com. :rolleyes:

YES! My Dad (76) really needs a filet knife that will handle the grouper and dolphin (not flipper) that he catches in the Keys. He is presently using a combo of Old Hickory and hand made knives from hacksaw blades. You want a real deal torture test? Salt water, thick skins, thick bones, not knowing a Busse from Baskin Robbins? Send one to my Dad in Key Largo. The skin and backbone on a 20/30 lb Grouper is a fair test. So is a big Bull Dolphin in the fall when they move in to the Gulf Stream. These are NOT the little girley fish you have up north. How about sharkskin? Will it hold up? My Dad doesn't try for shark, but if one hits... ( the small ones are tasty, the big ones have worms).

Hey Jer, wanna test team? I got one sport fisherman (my Dad), a semi commercial/sport fisherman (his ex work partner), and a full blown commercial fisherman (my cousin down the street). Not me, I just go to the Keys to eat and drink. I go out on the boat, but never will I call myself a fisherman. I'd starve if I had to live off what I caught. LOL I like the local restraunts and my Dad's Pina Coladas.
