At the beginning of December I purchased the following fine knife, it was a combination of what seem to be good price and impulsive decision (which I am not regretting). The knife shipped from the USA to Israel on December 12th and got into Christmas postal rush. It arrived only yesterday, stretching my nerves to the limit
Anyway when I got the knife, it felt surprisingly bigger and heavier than I thought, though after I slipped it to my pocket I felt very comfortable.
Other than that it is by far the highest quality modern production knife I dealt with, a custom level I would say. It is ofcourse the Case Bose 2013 collaboration wharncliffe trapper. Superb F&F sharp as hell and beautiful jigged bone, almost like a vintage bone.
Here it is looking great in spite of my poor camera and photographic abilities.

I agree Mike---well worth the wait---can be scary when your mind wonders what it is in transit though...

Glad it made it to you and shes a beauty!!!

It's a refined beauty, Mike!! But...one that begs for some hard use. I hope to see many more pictures of this knife as its patina grows and its pocket worn hafts glisten.:D

Very nice, Mike. I got one in stag and my reaction is exactly as you posted.

Beautiful!! Glad you are happy with it. Carry and use it with great pride, that's an amazing piece of craftsmanship.

Nice!!

I was looking at those in the AGR catalog yesterday.

Thanks for the pictures :-)

Real nice Mike!
The bone on that one is exquisite!!
I couldn't resist a Tony inspired WT, and bought one also! Couldn't be happier.
Your agony made it all the sweeter I am sure!!

Thank you guys. This will be a user, as I am not collecting. I am not sure about patina because I gave no experience with 154 CM steel. Time will tell.

You are totally right Charlie.

For those who are interesting, worth having a look at the auction site from time to time.

Good news! Tidy bone on that example. I'm glad you're pleased  But, I know how nerve shredding these longer waits can be, then the postman becomes an object of obsessional interest...:D

A knife got here, Finland, from the US just before Christmas, posted 25th Nov! Another one 5th December about the same time. 7th January a Radio Red arrived from Michigan sent on 14th Dec! Nor is it just US postal items, packet from Britain appeared on the 7th Jan sent on 10th Dec. Christmas & New Year of course & perma slow-time at Customs...:rolleyes:but some foul weather/storms have added to matters. However, Japan Post must be the swiftest in the world: incredibly a knife sent on 27th Dec got to Finland on the 30th!

Regards, Will

Welcome to my world;)
I actually start to physically change when I'm waiting for a package to turn up -my ears become highly tuned to sound of the postmans motorbike. My eyes can see through the slot in the mail box without even opening it.
Isn't it all the sweeter when it does arrive?
Glad it made it through the Xmas pile up-that is a major hurdle.
My 2013 forum knife got here NYE. So I know the feeling.
Great looking blade Mike that bone is treacle(in a good way).

She's a beauty. I debated getting this year's collaboration, but decided it was too steep a price for me. I had a hard time handing over the money for last year's collaboration, the Lanny's Clip, but after receiving it, I had no regrets. These Case/Bose collabs are definitely in a different realm than everything else out there.
