The Mrs. and I are safe and sound, but beat like dogs. I'll have to spend some time tomorrow catching up on the posts from the weekend. I hope everyone else got in safe too.

They were following my map....;)

It was great meeting everyone, that is for sure. Shaggi, I will be sure to pass that along to the Mrs. By the way, I didn't thank you for the kind company you provided at lunch over the weekend. Much appreciated. Oh yeah, my other Blasting Caps were waiting for me when I got home. I will have to call over to the shop to verify the facts on the SH BM you have there with my name on it :D. We took a nice scenic run through Tennessee. Stopped at Ruby Falls, I had to see it again since I don't remember much from my last trip 19 years ago. We had a very nerve racking run through the back roads trying to work our way over to Lynchburg to see the Jack Daniels Distillery. We also hit the Maker's Mark and Jim Beam Distilleries on the way out. A sceneic run through the bottom of Indiana and Illinois rounded out the trip. I am glad to be back, but I have to get my brain back into working mode now and that sucks!

That sounds more like the 'great loopy' route rather than the great circle loop with all those bourbon stops. I'm jealous: Maker's Mark is extremely yum! I'm glad you eventually made it home safely!

Cheers,
BJB :D

Hey, Pro-porker. Did you get stuck up in that music festival traffic? Man, we saw that traffic on the way down to Atlanta, and I was determined to NOT get in it on the way home. We detoured towards Birmingham, AL and took 65N around. It ended up only being about 40 miles further, and NO backups whatsoever. :)

John
Glad you made it home safely, if you hit the distilleries you weren't far from me. I wish I had known :D:D

I also want to thank you for all the help you provided over the weekend.

:D:D

Eric,

Yeah, the booze run is often something we do if there are such things to see in an area we visit. Distilleries are pretty interesting. I don't know how much help I was, but I definitely was a warm body.

Glad to hear you made it home ok.... If you were at the JD Distilery you weren't to far from my house.

Glad to see you made it back safely PG.

It was great seeing you and the Mrs. again.:D

Now about that traffic:rolleyes:

This was taken AFTER the "Bonaroo" (sp?) exit in the southbound lane:eek:

Cripes, I am glad I missed all of that. I hate traffic man. It was good to see you and your gal again too. Hope her and the Mrs. didn't spend too much of our INFI stash on their trip into town. ;)

Just kidding girls! :D
