Howdy,
I'm just checking around the net for better ways to build a new pack. I make my own because I can't find what I want in camping stores. Head carrys just never caught on in America :D . But I ran across this site and wanted to pass it on. Check it out if you get a chance. Lot's of home built stuff. Stoves, packs, tents...

Great idea. I like to make my own webb belts out of polypro webbing. I just got finished with a 2 inch belt I made for one of my fixed blades, complete with slide release buckle, and attachment points for other gear. It's a great way to spend a little spare time. I was looking at the link you posted and the homemade walking stick caught my eye.

Here's a guy that made one out of bamboo. (Click on the Walking Stick tab)

I've got an old one from Atlanta Cutlery. I'm going to have to give that one a try.

I thought everybody would like that ghurka project. I found that site last year. The guy doesn't seem to ever update it though. That crummy sheath sure looked a lot better after his upgrade.
