Home-Grown Damascus

Here is the last piece of damascus that the brother-in-law and I made last year. Made from 1084 and 15N20. Lots of work when you are mashing it by hand.

Ben, it will also make your body hurt in places that you didn't even know you had. Forging in general reminds me that I just ain't as young as I used to be.

Thanks for the comments guys. Even though making damascus by hand is a lot of work (the welding is the easy part......... stretching it out by hand is what is hard), I really enjoyed making the stuff and will probably attempt some more in the future.
