Great build !

I would add a cover of some sort over the heating coil wire connections.

Thanks guys! Stacy i plan on making a cover for them and a wireing harness to keep the wires safe as well as me.

I am impressed! Very nicely done with great attention to detail. Thank you for posting.

I think a certain someone is using canned replies to get his post count up.

Bob - nice work, did you use a pre-wound element or did you wind the kanthal yourself? Have you run it up to temp yet?

You're just trying to get attention..... all the lavish praise on FB wasn't enough! ;)

My offer to protect you from that defective oven still stands!

I bought the element from duralite prewound i just had to strech it. No i was going to get it running yesterday but i decided to wire in a 20 amp receptical for it so i will get it going today.

Thanks Bob

Looks great Bob! What are the dimensions of the chamber?

Thanks Pat the chamber is 4" x 4 1/2" x15" a little smaller than i was planning on but i had all the material here for this size so i went with it. I usualy only do one or two knives at a time so it is lots big for me.
