I was interested if anyone has made a belt/pants clip system to attach to a sheath , that doesn't have a belt loop or clip of it's own. I have a kydex sheath for a Necker that I would like to rig up something for, without having to buy an aftermarket accessory. Any ideas ? Thanks.

Thanks Chuck. Looks like a good starting point. A friend told me maybe I could use the clip off of a measuring tape, and rivet it onto the kydex;but making my own with metal seems the way to go.

A few options off the top of me'head.... Get a keychain belt clip, like Hyko's KC182, and then adjust it for your needs. Or get some Kydex and form your own clip. Lastly, get a cheap cellphone holster and use the clip from that. NiteIze has decent clips on their phone holsters. Good luck.

AAH ! I like the key chain beltclip idea, maybe using a carabiner ,too. Then I won't really have to modify the sheath , just attach some paracord.

Thanks

You're welcome. Geez, I remember even using duct tape once to hold a broken clip to its sheath during a camping trip. There's plenty of ways to accomplish it. It all depends how reliable and how snazzy you want it to be.

Yeah, a piece of bicycle inner tube works pretty good for a horizontal loop... but is really ghetto.
