Got me a new toy today :) Actually the boss picked it up at work and gave it to me, someone had left it behind when they let their house go back. Oh well, one mans forgotten and neglected tool is another mans new, fun filled project :)

This here is an old Homelite XL-12. This is back when Homelite didn't make crap tools. The XL-12 series was introduced in 1964 and discontinued in 1988. This is a blue model so I think it is an older model (64-70 something I think). Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. I've been doing a lot of reading so any personal experience is much welcome.

You see that short piece of pipe just behind the spark plug, yah, its a metal gas line, not that cheap rubber crap (or whatever fuel line is made of) that is sold today. These days where when America make good tools.

Lol, yah, you like my big hammer :)

Actually I dont know what condition it is in right now. I brought it home, drooled over it, took some pictures and read up on it. I have yet to see what needs to be done to her. But there are MANY people who still use these saws today and I can still get parts for it (collectors sell parts). I have had no time (safe for the few hours at night that I troll Bladeforums :)) these past few weeks to really play around with anyhting.
