Well I finished up my forge and gave it a short test run yesterday. I made a video kind of explaining it and showing the details. I'm in no way shape or form very knowledgeable about forges I'm just getting my feet wet and I'm not much of a narrator or videographer I shot it with my cell phone.
A big thanks to Rudy Joly he has helped me a bunch and answered several questions and even provided a drawing/plan to help me get it built.

All comments and critique, improvements I can make are all welcomed to open discussion...this is how I learn and ya wont hurt my feelings. Right now Im just using a bernzomatic torch I dont think I ocerved that in the video but you can clearly see it. Also that is my shop at work so dont think I have some awesome big shop at my house :)
now I need to order some 1084 to play with.

Looks OK. I think you will be really impressed with a better burner. A torch is not enough BTU for that size forge. Charles at Atlas Forge and the folks at hightemptools both have good and inexpensive venturi burners.

I agree Stacy, I already had the torch so decided to use it to get my feet wet. I played with it again yesterday and adjusted the torch position and it was alot better than in the video.
I'm just hoping I can adapt something to my burner tube I already have. What dimension are the burners from atlas or high temp will they fit onto my tube?

What's the ID of the burner port? I'm pretty certain that the 30K Atlas burner would fit, but kinda doubtful that the larger 100k Graham burner would. You should be able to forge with it, but getting hot enough to forge weld might be difficult. If you want, I could make drill out an orifice just a bit larger, try to get 50-60k BTU from it. I know the 100k orifice won't burn properly in the smaller tube, but 50-60k should. Orifices only cost me 25¢ so it's not a big deal to include a larger one. I rarely frequent this subforum, so send me a PM if you're interested.

I can also include a new burner port. I've got several extra stainless ones that are already drilled and threaded. That way you could remove the "hammered dog crap", hehe.

Yeah, both my burner and HighTempTools burners are too big for . . . wait . . .You already have a burner tube, you just need the orifice. If you want to try, I could send you just the orifice and fitting, and you could weld it directly to your burner port.
