Post pictures of your homemade machine!!! It doesnt have to be a 2x72, it can be any size. It might make newbs and amateurs like myself get on the right track to building a machine of our own. Describe how you did it and what the final cost was. No grinder is to ugly for me!

Well if its ugly you want :D

Here is my Rat Rod grinder.
Started with an old engine stand, took the brackets used to bolt motor to stand flipped them around and welded them together and that is what the tracking wheel is on.
1 1/2hp 3phase motor from ebay , TECO FM50 VFD (a cheap VFD thats not sealed from dust ),tracking wheel, drive wheel, and platen from Beaumont. Total cost was 580.00 At first I only had the platen so I just bolted it to the steel plate.

I have now added a contact wheel , small wheel , and one of Nathans flat platens with a chiller. and fixed it so it can hold 2 tool arms.

Ugly as hell but runs smooth and thats what matters to me
