homemade hatchet/hawk.

old lawnmowerblade head and a wrapped steel handle,head was just bolted ,me and the wife kept bendin bolts and the head would move a little,got her welded up and cross bolted, no movement, used a lot around the yard,take a file and grinder and sharpen it every other month,lasted 2 years now, got rid of my sog fast hawk,for a cheap beater,it's tough..had a few others,gave em away,I like the mad max look..image.jpg
 
yepp,i figure it wasn't for everone, but it works..you do fine work by the way..
 
I have two or three of the red painted blades that have been cut up into a few hawks and knives,and you are right,suprised me,tough steel..even chops through nails. that I didn't see.just fun to use what you got,me n the misses delimb trees in the driveway,bust up kindling for the bonfire,it gets used, thanks.
 
Very cool! My mind is now racing with everyday items that I could potentially turn into a hawk.
