A little bored with extended time off and freezing weather so I decided to make a lanyard pin for the classic. I had some beefy copper ground wire and decided to try. Wasn't easy cutting, sanding and drilling a tiny piece but it worked. I like the contrast. Look OK?

I prefer the old school cords (lanyards) that are tied to the knives, but that being said, I think your pin looks as good if not better than the ones supplied with the newer knives. I like the way it matches the contours of the old style screws!! Which of course I am also a big fan of!! I think you just found a new product to market!! Looks great!! Thanks for sharing!!
All the best,

Love it! I like copper beads the best for my crk. Great job.

I like it!! Shh.. don't tell anybody but penny's haven't been made of copper since 1982.
I've been hoarding the copper ones for years. Never know when you may need some real money!!:D
Just my two cents worth (current value of copper penny)
I dub it the "penny loafer" mod.

Yeah but "Zinc Loafers" just doesn't have that ring!

Hope you dont mind, but I also just made one. I used 416 stainless, and gave it a small shoulder so it cant come out if there is no lanyard attached. I tried to match the ends to the other button head screws, and blasted the pin to match the Ti.

Totally cool.

I love it!!!! I want one! Like seriously, make me one!! Hahaha
I have a Large Regular and since they don't come with a pin I've been looking at options. I actually have a friend of mine sending me a 21 pin, which will totally work..
But that penny loafer looks fantastic!!! Get some patina on it and it's straight out of a nuclear holocaust.
Congrats man!

I would make a few, but it was an honest to goodness pain in the rear. It's a stubby piece of copper cut, ground, sanded and drilled all with very basic garage tools. I think I got more fingertip skin on my belt sander than copper!
