Funny story. I was in the garage changing the oil in my mom's car, when I unknowingly dropped my eskabar out of my back pocket. When I was was done changing the oil, I pulled the car out of the garage and park it in the driveway. When I go back into the garage, I found that I had run my eskabar over and cracked the sheath.
no damage was done to the knife, but the sheath is beyond repair. I had some really old redwing pull on boots, so I cut them up and made a sheath.
I used the guts from some 550 cord as thread and a really thick needle. I had to use a pair of pliers to push/ pull the needle through.I still have to even out the edges with an exacto knife. Its not the greatest but it will have to do. I think that it is a passable first attempt at a leather sheath.
