So, my buddy got this beautiful knife.

He was even kind enough to let me hold it. Try it out. I had to have it!
So I made a deal with him. Since I love orange and he loves blue, I would make me and him some g10 liners in our favorite colors so we wouldn’t get confused on whose knife was whose. And because he found it first!
So after searching for a good selection of .030” G10 liners, I ordered two pieces of 5”x10”x.03” G10 from USA Knife Makers .com. I was ready to go.
I started by cutting squares small enough to work with a jewelers saw and a vise.

Once I got them cut out, I rigged some c clamps with paper towel and duck tape to hold the pieces still while I drill holes.

Once I got the holes drilled, I put the bolts back in with extra washers and used my bench grider (aluminum oxide wheels did great) to get the rough shape.

I then had to figure out how to get the hole in the middle for the Axis lock. Used the flashlight on the factory liners to show the cut-out. Then the drimmel went ot town.

After that I reassembled the factory scales, liners, and wet sanded with 220 grit in the kitchen sink till they fit.

Then called my buddy over and put them back together!

You could sell 50 sets of these, easy. Just saying. Especially in Powernoodle Blue.

Looks like you may be making another set. My dad said he wants one and with liners. So I will probably buy a new Benchmade for me also

I'm a huge fan of orange and have quite a few orange-handled blades. I think the little bit that you put in as an accent makes that knife looks amazing. Great job!
