Homemade micarta idea

Had an idea over the weekend, and wanted to see what you guys thought. What if I had a blade with a skeletonized fulltang and wove through all the holes varying strands and colors of yarn, cloth, jeans, etc.....then dipped the whole handle in epoxy and pressed it together like making homemade micarta?

If I could mask off the blade somehow, could I then grind it off the knife, making what amounts to pinless fulltang construction? I dont see what it wouldnt hold together, and I have some odd ideas about partially exposed fulltang, with raised filework peeking through the micarta.......

Cool....I have this idea in my head that I just cant shake of a subhilt where the subhilt flows out of the handle material.....

Sure will! I probably wont get to it for a while though as I am currently working on a batch of 10 knives and don't want to switch gears and lose momentum, haha

Im thinking Id attach bolsters and the subhilt, do the epoxy/micarta thing, then grind down through the layers, exposing what part of the subhilt and bolster that I wanted....Would be a good amount of work, but may come out really nice....If it works, who knows what could be done regarding hidden tangs where you could almost cast a handle with accents around a hidden tang...might be a big pipe dream, but theres always new ways to do things....
