I heard a story about a guy that cut an old pair of blue jeans into strips and dipped each piece in that Bondo fiberglass resin you can buy at walmart for automotive repair and stacked them on waxpaper then covered with waxpaper and sandwhiched between 2 boards. I have used this stuff before on cars and it dries pretty quick. Has anyone tried this. Think how creative you could get. Cut strips out of a cheap cammo t shirt or stagger the colors from different colored ts. Sounds cheesy but then again it makes sense that it could work. That resin is pretty much impervious to the elements. Anyone ever try this.

Yea, this works ok...Just layer up some old bluejeans or you favorite old shirt, spread on the epoxy and using a liner sheet, clamp up between two boards...

I would give it about two weks to dry all the way, use fresh belts because the cotton burns...

This stuff is a little hard to work and drill but makes an unusual handle on a work knife...
