Homemade NMSFNO sheath with pics...

This is only my second kydex sheath ever. I think it turned out pretty good, especially considering I did it with super cheap improvised stuff. It has a forward cant to it that keeps it out of my ribs. Heavily influenced by my Okuden Sharp Thing Sheath and a Dozier horizontal carry sheath. I also drilled out the talon hole area, which may be a trademarked feature.

Thank you. I've been using it today. Sheath and knife that is, and I've found it to work well. Batoned a bunch of hickory for my smoker and I got a huge batch (12 lbs) of deer summer sausage on.

Thank you for the kind comments. After wearing it all day it's quickly becoming one of my favorite blades. It's better than my ASH with its longer, thinner blade and lighter than my BM for belt carry, it's a perfect balance.

I hate Kydex, I just hate it. It makes me sick to see $400+ blades in that plastic crap, but that looks nice! Maybe it is the "bent" look of the sheath? Making me second guess myself here...

I like leather and kydex both, but I'm not going to go into leather sheath making. Kydex is ridiculously easy IMO. The forward cant was to keep it out of my ribs. I'm short (about 5' 5") and couldn't carry it strong side if it was straight up. Plus it was only $327
