I was bored today and rummaging about in my tool box when I had a little idea. Took me about 5 mins to gather the cord and the two D-Shackles and play about with them to rig a prototype D-guard I can now spend a little more time to get a proper nicely turned out D-guard.
It was two of these that started me off:
Apologies for the rough pics and even rougher knotting but I was a little worse for wear this morning and just wanted to quickly try this out. Pics with the guard on and off. I plan on getting two shackles with countersunk heads or there are ones that have a kind of bar mechanism that locks them. Can't find a pic but i'll keep looking.
