I've always used a round diamond hone by Eze Lap, the brass kind with round steel. I'm thinking of changing to a Honesteel. Anybody use these? Are they worth the bulk?

I own several of them, mostly bought while doing my research on them. I have used one, but really find that my Gerber diamond pocket hone is more handy for me. Plus, Gerber does have a warranty on them. They sent me two replacements already. Yes, they do wear out after a time, but for ten bucks or so, and the ease with which they sharpen both carbon and stainless, I like them. But for yourself, you'll never know for sure until you try a Honesteel.
