Honey Badger handle jimping question

To those of you that own this knife, does your index fingernail ever get caught up on the handle jimping when using the flipper? I have an Enlan EL-01 that has the jimping on the handle where the flipper is and I've nearly ripped off my fingernail. I keep my nails trimmed pretty short too.

This is the one reason why I haven't yet pulled the trigger on this knife.
 
Just for a second I forgot that this was a model of knife. All I could picture was the terrifying prospect of trying to cut jimping into the spine of a live honey badger. :eek:
 
I have a small and a medium and I've never noticed a problem with the jimping on the handle. I really like these as a budget option knife.
