Because there has been some recent discussion about questionable behavior involving khukuri transactions by a certain individual, I would like to point out the obvious: The HI Forum clearly remains a forum of honorable people. Consider this -- I loaned out a video about the Gorkhas; the video traveled far and wide and, after passing through many hands, was returned in a timely manner and was returned in as good a shape as when I mailed it. When you think about it, that speaks volumes about the trustworthiness of forumites. I'm proud to be associated with such a stalwart group!

I agree completely. I do a considerable amount of my shopping/business online and to date this is the first time I've ever had a problem. This is a great group of people and I did not mean to suggest,in any way, that this sort of behavior was typical of forumites in general. I only wanted to warn everybody about the situation since it had already involved two of us. as I said in my original post my experience with other forumites has been very good.I apologize if I was unclear or went overboard.I was very surprised by this.

atc, I don't think an apology is necessary. I think you did the right thing by bringing something out in the open that other forumites needed to be warned about -- and I, for one, appreciate that. I feel that we forumites must police our own ranks and you did just that. Thanks again.

I must state one more time that I am in a state of disbelief regarding this matter because the man in doubt was absolutely honest with me in every dealing. I am torn between two flags here. I would breathe a sigh of relief if I learned that he had gone to the hospital with a heart attack ala Uncle Bill and was incapable of performing what needs to be done. On the other hand I would feel terrible that such a blow had befallen such a nice and honest and very young man!

Let's hope he has gone off on a wild fling with some beautiful and sexy woman but will be back when he wears himself out! This I think we all could understand.
