anyone have them? Are they worth buying? Any info would be great. Thanks.

Got the first 12 or so. Definately worth the $$. Look on their customer comment page for my further thoughts on them;)

my friend let me barrow his survival basics1 an2 i think there pretty good but I'm a couch potato survivalist

Yep they are great videos, I have about 10 of them and have watched each several times. great info and the Hoods are great folks.

edited because apparently I can't spell!

Two thumbs up, great info and tons of little tidbits in every installment.

And like tknife said, Ron is a quality individual, not some "sell his soul for a buck, no little bit of info comes for free" type. He spends a lot of time on his forum giving out advice to anyone looking for it.

I've got ten of 'em, and intend to have more. Lots of good info, coherently presented. Definitely worth the money; in fact, a steal IMHO.

We have the entire 16 volume set of The Woodsmaster. Last time this topic came up, I posted mini-reviews of Volumes 1-5.

Volume 6 - Primitive Weapons - Mini Review: Now Ron has gone and planted a seed and I HAVE TO build a primitive bow! I think he could have gone a little deeper into making a bow, but there are other DVDs that address that skill directly. I really liked the Viet Nam crossbow he made. The Xena Frisbee of Death was just a little silly! :D

Last night I watched Volume 10, Survival Camping. Mini-Review: Ron and a bunch of the Hoodlems head into the woods of Idaho to practice and experiment with survival skills. Looked like a lot of fun.

We still need to input Volumes 8-16 to make them available.

The vids are very good. Like Les and Bear, Ron shows his mistakes too. That will turn some people off but that is real life.
